6/25/'11
6/25/'11: USA 2 - Mexico 4
2011 Gold Cup Final. Rose Bowl, 93,000+ fans
26 hours in LA. Awesome trip, despite final score. Helped Bob with starting lineup! Drove up Pacific Coast Highway to Mur's house. Sushi dinner in Old Pasadena. 93,000 fans in the Rose Bowl. Atmosphere much like the World Cup games. Unfortunately, there were 80,000+ Mexican fans. Great job Bob, but we came up short against a strong Mexico side.

6/7/'11
6/7/'11: USA 2 - Canada 0
2011 Gold Cup, qualifying round. Ford Field, Detroit, MI
Nate and I drove round trip - Chicago to Detroit for the first game of the 2011 Gold Cup. An easy 4+ hour drive. Met with Bob. Watched Panama beat Guadeloupe. Then USA soundly beat Canada Two Nil. After the game we were back on the road to Chicago. Asleep in Nate's condo by 2:30am.

6/4/'11
6/4/'11: USA 0 - Spain 4
Friendly. Gillette Stadium, Foxboro, MA
64,000+ fans, mostly for Spain. World Cup-like atmosphere. Strong showing of US fans.
We did not start our A-team and fell into a 0-3 hole at half. Bringing on some startres for second half improved our play. But this was a friendly - not about the result. Gold Cup starts in 3 days!.

3/26/'11
3/26/'11: USA 1 - Argentina 1
Friendly. Meadowlands, NJ
80,000 people in the New Meadowlands Stadium. Great crowd! Surprisingly strong showing of US fans.
We played on our heels the whole first half and gave up a 40th minute goal. However, the US came back much stronger in the second half, scoring the equalizer.

10/12/'10
10/12/'10: USA 0 - Columbia 0
Friendly. Chester, PA
Mark flew out and Tim O. drove up from DC to join Hendo and Rick. Bob's brother Jeff and family were also there. Low energy match with a few new US faces.
Good to see Bob the night before after dinner with Rick & Hendo.

10/9/'10
10/9/'10: USA 2 - Poland 2
Friendly. Soldier Field, Chicago, IL
Mark, Claire & Nate, joined by Eddy, Nate's dad & Nate's friend Jim. Also, Mark's friends from Emmi, Nick, Kyle and Kyle's son's Drew & Matthew. Exciting game. Lots of 'Polska' fans.

Wed 10/6/'10
10/6/'10: Practice
Week before USA vs. Poland. Chicago, IL
Nate, as usual, and Kyle and Kyle's boys Drew & Matthew joined me on a beautiful sunny afternoon at Toyota Park.

Sat 6/26/'10
USA 1 - Ghana 2. Round of 16 - the end of a great run by the US side.
World Cup Finals, Royal Bofakeng Stadium, Rustenburg, South Africa.

Once again we had the excitement of riding with the US Family bus to and from the game, complete with police escort!
In a hard fought game, the US came back again to tie the score. But we could not overcome Ghana's overtime goal.
I was proud to be in South Africa as a US fan as the US side impressed everyone I spoke to. Bob and Michael both did an awesome job, even if it was not enough to advance to the quarterfinals.

Wed 6/23/'10
USA 1 - Algeria 0
World Cup Finals, Loftus Versfeld Stadium, Pretoria, South Africa.

On to Pretoria. Our game experience began with lunch at the US Embassy. Then it was a short walk to Loftus Stadium. Incredible atmosphere. US flags & fans everywhere. An intense, nail-biting 90 minutes. We knew England was winning and we needed a victory. In the 92nd minute US broke the ice and the crowd erupted.

Fri 6/18/'10
USA 2 - Slovenia 2
World Cup Finals, Ellis Park, Johannesburg, South Africa.

We join the USA team Friends & Family group for lunch at Moyo Zoo restaurant. Then a police escort bus to the stadium. Followed by Michael scoring the tying goal right in front of us near the end of a 2-2 victory for USA. What more can I say? Just check out the photo's!

10/14/'09
8/12/09: USA 2 - Costa Rica 2
World Cup Qualifier. RFK Stadium, Washington DC
What an end to nearly 3 years of Would Cup 2010 preparation and qualifying. In a wild finish, playing a man down, the US scored with under a minute remaining to tie the score at 2. This provided the US with the single point it needed to finish on top of the CONCACAF region and move on to South Africa, 2010.
Lee joined Nate and me along with many PU alums, including Hendo. We also got to visit with Bob's mom & dad and family.

10/10/'09
10/10/09: USA 3 - Honduras 2
World Cup Qualifier. Honduras - Viewed at Fado's, Chicago, IL (at Clark & Grand)
Did not actually attend this game in person. But I did have to drive to watch it. Since it was closed-circuit TV only, we had to go to a sports bar and pay $15 cover charge.
USA secured their spot in the final 32 teams for South Africa with a tough road win.

8/12/'09
8/12/09: Mexico 2 - USA 1
World Cup Qualifier. Estadio Azteca, Mexico City
Nate and I flew down on a red-eye flight and arrived the morning of the game. Got quoted on an ESPN blog as one of the few Americans making the trip. Had breakfast with Bob. Walked many miles in and around Estadio Azteca. 105,000 fans - 500 for the US. Amazing atmosphere. We sat in 14th row surrounded by Mexcian fans. US Scored first. We stood and cheered (ooops), which led to many beers in our direction when Mexico scored the game-winner. Fun trip, despite the tough loss for US.

7/23/'09
7/23/09: USA 2 - Honduras 0
Gold Cup Semi-Final. Soldier Field, Chicago, IL
Devin & family, joined Nate, Nate's cousin and Nate's nephew for a rainy start but sunny finish to another US win.

7/21/'09
Matsiko Choir Attend 7/21/09 Practice
Toyota Park, Chicago, IL
Mulerts were hosting the Matsiko Children's Choir from Uganda when Bob brought the National Team to town for the Gold Cup semi-final against Honduras.
Bob graciously allowed the kids to attend a closed practice at Toyota Park. It was a great experience for all.

6/6/'09
6/6/09: USA 2 - Honduras 0
World Cup Qualifier, Soldier Field, Chicago, IL
Chad and his cousin, Paul, Jim and friend, Neil and Eddie.
Nate could not make it :-(

4/1/'09
4/1/09: USA 3 - Trinidad & Tobago 0
World Cup Qualifier. Nashville, TN
Nate, Doug C and Paul M.

2/11/'09
2/11/09: USA 2 - Mexico 0
World Cup Qualifier. Columbus, OH
Mark was joined by Nate, Lovec, Paul M in Columbus to see Michael Bradley score both goals in a convincing 2-0 victory to start the 2010 World Cup qualifying.
Notice the last slide. A week after the Mexico game Nate headed to Kenya for volunteer work at an orphanage. We decided that our Bradley jerseys would be great gifts to two lucky Kenyans!

9/10/'08
9/10/08: USA 3 - Trinidad & Tobago 0
World Cup Qualifier. Toyota Park, Chicago, IL
Forgot my camera so no pictures. But Michael B scored a goal.

6/8/'08
6/8/08: USA 0 - Argentina 0
Friendly. Giants Stadium. East Rutherford, NJ.
Great atmosphere with a sellout crowd of mostly Argentinians. But had a great time Princeton contingent tailgating and barbecue the night before. Rick R, Jeff H were there from '80.

6/7/'08
6/8/08: Practice
Giants stadium work-out day before Argentina game.

9/9/'07
9/9/07: Brazil 4 - USA 2
Friendly, Soldier Field, Chicago, IL
Yeah, Brazil won. But it was an awesome game. Bob coached a great match, Michael and the rest of the US squad held their own against the best players in the world. The US can beat Brazil.

9/8/'07
9/8/07: Practice
'Coach Bradley' let us in to the closed practice. Nate, Nate's brother Neil, his wife Debbie and their two kids and two friends came along.
Where was Claire? 3 of her 'male' friends had a game at the same time and she chose them over her dad and Bob Bradley. Yes, she is now 13!

6/24/'07
6/24/07: USA 2 - Mexico 1
Gold Cup Final. Soldier Field, Chicago, IL.
What a great birthday! A large group of friends joined me: Lin & Connor, Bruce, Sam & Charlie, Nate, Eddie, Neil & Chad.

6/23/'07
